Kent and Kathryn’s summer wedding at the Brule River Barn was definitely one for the books. Of all the things I love about wedding days, on the top of my list is originality. Quietly, their day started… with fog-filled air and that crisp July warmth. Photographing their wedding details amid the mist of their wedding day sunrise was pretty amazing and it made for some of my all-time favorite captures this season!
As for that originality I spoke of, the groomsmen each received a sword as a gift from Kent. I’ll repeat; a sword, which was not not used for photos 🙂 To honor both the bride’s love for coffee and the fact that their love story began at a coffee shop, the father-of-the-bride roasted his own coffee beans as a post-nuptial-pick-me-up. Brunch was served by The Duluth Grill and yard games were played. It was the perfect way to spend a Saturday! We felt truly blessed to be chosen to preserve this special day for these two – congratulations!
